I don't think it's happened to me (yet), but Safari and AOL both do it from time to time. My Mantra is "the marvel is that it works at all, not that it works perfectly all the time" -- but then, I'm of an earlier generation.

I hate it too. And I don't normally look at my own LJ page, so it takes me forever to notice. "Why is X not posting at all?" Because they lock everything and you aren't logged in! Duh.
