Seen on the kerb at several locations on the walkway around Lake Calhoun:

"Look at downtown. From the base camp to the peak of Mt. Everest, it's over 15K taller than the top of the IDS Tower..."

I'd guess that someone is mightily impressed by the idea that Nature is capable of much grander works than Man is.
