Well, That Was Fun

Before tonight, all I really knew about Fred Eaglesmith was that friends of mine thought highly of his work.

We saw him tonight, and boy, was he a lot of fun. Very funny between songs, and a very eclectic oeuvre.

There were songs where he reminded me, very strongly, of Bruce Springsteen. And lots of other songs in a lot of other forms.

He definitely goes onto my "see him when the opportunity arises" list.

Agreed. Eaglesmith is a seasoned performer who has mastered the art of telling the same joke dozens of times and making each sound fresh and personal. And he's an excellent musician.

We should trade notes on the CDs we acquired.

And the company was good too!

Love his music, never seen him live, even though he's in Berwyn on this tour. Oh well ...
