Six Degrees of LJ Separation
May. 5th, 2003 06:19 pmRecently, a bunch of friends have come over to the Dark Side and opened LiveJournal accounts. This prompted me to take a look at my friends list, after a long period of neglect. And I found that I'd been listed as a friend of someone that I couldn't identify, at all. Which is puzzling - I think I'm boring, and most of my posts are pretty boring, and I don't know why someone who doesn't know me would want to read what few boring entries I make.
But there it was - some fan in Sweden had added me to their friends list.
I have a loose e-mail acquaintance with a couple of Swedish fans - John Henri Holmberg and Arvid Engstrom, IIRC. This is a consequence of my work as Junior Assistant List Administrator in Training for the Timebinders e-mail list. But this person doesn't appear to either John Henri or Arvid.
So I'm not sure how or why they linked to me, but I think it's pretty cool. And they certainly (from my very brief reading of their entries) seem to have what I consider fannish concerns and attributes.
