Last night, we attended the music party chez tesla_aldrich. Very nice, I had a very good time. We left relatively early (for us), as someone had this strange compulsion about packing and getting some sleep.

Tonight, I saw Brother Seamus in St Paul. Even knowing the directions, I missed a turn. I recovered, and heard a chunk of their second set, and all of their last set. Nice time all around, even if you can't get to the venue from here.

Tomorrow, the concerts start at the Lake Harriet bandshell. Notable evenings include The Mad Ripple Friday Night Hootenanny at 1930 on June 6th. Should be a nice warmup for the next music party (madtruk ought to be familiar with the driving force behind the performers that night - I think he attended one of those sessions in the basement of Java Jack's recently. I'll suggest that bodi_kat ought to make an attempt to find the bandshell that evening).

Another notable evening will be Wednesday, August 20, when Lojo Russo will be performing.

I'm guessing I'll be skipping most of the Lake Harriet Music Fest on June 7, due to prior plans.

Also interesting - there's Tango on the Tenth in June, July, and August - if only I knew how to tango!

And the 3rd Thursday of every month, They're having The People for the Parks Movie Night at the Bandshell. June 19 - Roy Orbison - Black & White Night, July 17 - The Eagles Farewell Tour - Live From Melbourne, August 21 - Fleetwood Mac - The Dance.

My directions would have gotten me there without incident had I realized that the transition to George was the right lane of Robert (the lane that went up the hill). I was in the correct lane, I just moved over. And it didn't delay my arrival by much.

i wish i *could* go to the bandshell- my course runs until 8:30 on Friday evening.

But i'll be seeing youse guys at minnehaha's, yes?
