You are 59% geek
You are a geek.
Good for you! Considering the endless complexity of the universe,
as well as whatever discipline you happen to be most interested in,
you'll never be bored as long as you have a good book store, a net
connection, and thousands of dollars worth of expensive equipment.
Assuming you're a technical geek, you'll be able to afford it, too. If
you're not a technical geek, you're geek enough to mate with a
technical geek and thereby get the needed dough. Dating
tip
: Don't date a geek of the same persuasion as you. You'll
constantly try to out-geek the other.

You are 48% geek
You are a geek liason, which means you go both ways. You can hang out with normal people or you can hang out with geeks which means you often have geeks as friends and/or have a job where you have to mediate between geeks and normal people. This is an important role and one of which you should be proud. In fact, you can make a good deal of money as a translator.

Normal: Tell our geek we need him to work this weekend.

You [to Geek]: We need more than that, Scotty. You'll have to stay until you can squeeze more outta them engines!

Geek [to You]: I'm givin' her all she's got, Captain, but we need more dilithium crystals!

You [to Normal]: He wants to know if he gets overtime.

To ask a leading question, will you be at Diversicon?

Your real 50th birthday present arrived in the mail yesterday ...

Elder Dragon make BIG boo-boo........thanks to upcoming new job change, I have managed to book myself through the next weekend with "unmoveable objects and unwangle-out-able committments". Hence I will not be going to Diversicon (for the 1st time since 1996).

DAMN! Elder Dragon has a REAL present?? What exactly do you call that "nifty, keen, Dragon book" that you gave me at my birthday party??

What did you do? Find a portal to an alternate Universe and coerce a REAL dragon to come hither? :).........Ok.....forget the dragon, I'll take a Wizard on short notice:).

Well, I still have your real present. Got several admiring comments on it (I'm a guy, I don't wrap presents - makes it easier to show them to people...)
I just have to figure out how to get it into your possession...

**Chuckle - you had FUN with MY present !! Alright!

You "could" meet me for Minigolf with the Klingons (they're going against the Be'rak - ?spelling) on Saturday, 8/10. Being a "loyal Schill" to them I occassionally join them in their misguided revelry - especially when it's something as silly (and fun) as minigolf. 2PM at the Eagan Grand Slam. I'm told that they may do Laser Tag too (might NOT do that one - will have to watch and see how good of an aim they've got first;-). Otherwise we'll eventually get together my friend - we usually do (and that gives you MORE time to show off your present.......er.....MY present (grin).

I have to be at the MnStf picnic tomorrow - I've got the charcoal.

Perhaps we can hook up on Sunday. Or maybe later.

I'll mention that your gift was crafted by someone who is nominated for a Hugo Award this year...

This is such a shock.

I only got 56%. However, if I go back and mark down the CDs I wanted to get but couldn't afford, I'm geekier than thou (60%). Hahahaha!
