There is a notice posted on Rex Hardware. The current owner wants to replace the building with a four-story multi-family building containing 16 units.

The hearing for the zoning variance is scheduled for Monday.

Go, and demand that the place include on-site parking. Get your home-owning neighbors to do the same.

I suspect I'd also want to argue against the variance allowing the building to be four stories - it would be somewhat out of character with the rest of the neighborhood.

The notice doesn't say. Just retail, and 16 units.

I'm now wondering just who the anonymous commenter is who seems so determined to put a positive spin on this (in the absence of any hard knowledge). Makes me want to (metaphorically) check my wallet.
