Since my car died Wednesday night, we had to scramble some to get everything done on Thursday. I got up at 4:00 am and got ready. We left the house shortly after 6:00 am with me driving. After a short stop to get coffee for Polonia (not as short as it should have been), I got Polonia to Lake Elmo and dropped her off at work. Then I hauled myself back down to Burnsville for my 7:15 appointment. Left Burnsville around 9:00 am, gassed up the Trooper, returned the video, and made it to work by 10:00. Got code inspections done, and went out to check on the Toyota. Which starts immediately, and runs as well as it ever does. Get lunch, go back to work. Polonia calls around 6:00 pm because she's ready to leave work, and I take the Trooper out to pick her up. Make the mistake of taking 694 - it's a single lane from 35E all the way to highway 5. Get there, pick her up, and we drive back to Roseville. I get in Toyota and go home, Polonia takes Trooper to farm to check on Vista. After getting home, getting mail, feeding cats, etc., I run to the grocery store for a few necessaries. And then it's back home, and eat, and spend too much time dialed in e-mailing a friend. Get to bed sometime after midnight, don't sleep well. Get up at 7:00, get ready, and wait for Polonia to come back from dropping Trooper off at auto repair shop. She returns in rental vehicle, and I'm off to work. AFter a short while, I decide that I need to visit the Credit Union, and see about getting information on refinancing the condo. Short walk down, pick up information, short walk back. It's a pretty nice day outside - something I usually miss. Finally get started on the latest H/W workaround, Polonia calls with news of the Trooper. The stuff she's willing to fix is going to cost around $200. The leaky valve cover, and the leaky rear seal, on the other hand, are pretty much out of the question. For now, we'll keep pouring oil into the Trooper as needed. We need to do something with our finances, and start working on replacing the Trooper.
I finish the first cut of the workaround code, and start testing. Find first dumb mistake. I'm sure it won't be the last.
I'll give work another hour, and then I'm off to see Shakespeare in the park with Joe, Andrew, Larry, Laura, Elaina (?), and possibly Andrew's mom. Should be fun.

I'm exhausted from trying to figure out where you're hiding the time machine.
(explanation - your comment is timestamped 8:24 pm. I know where you were at that time, and I certainly didn't see you grab a computer and sign in to LJ. Thus, you must have a time machine.)(Or it might just be that comments receive their timestamp from the servers on the Left Coast).

Given the wide popularity of LJ, it's a shame they didn't set it all up on Zulu time/UTC. But then it probably would have been too geeky to be popular. Actually, since I left Genuity I've gotten pretty sloppy about keeping track of GMT, I rarely even have it displayed on my stealth-geek watch.

But yeah, the servers are out in Washington in some colo facility, which I hope is something a little classier than a Self Storage with Ethernet.

I know not of that which you speak and even if I did I'd be forbidden to tell all my secrets. My lips are sealed, mums the word there is nothing you can do to make me talk, not even Chinese water torture. Agents I mean women never tell.

Sounds like Shakespere was fun, even if time delayed.
