Slow day at work yesterday - the building seemed to be mostly empty.

I'd brought my photos along to show Joyce, but between her being sick and spending the day at the doctor, I never saw her.

I spent some time testing my next fix, and getting it ready for inspection next week. Toward the end of the day I started working on the next "emergency" fix. It appears that servers with "large" amounts of memory are experiencing a large number of single-bit errors that eventually turn into multi-bit error (which usually turn into system stops). I'm supposed to recreate a modern version of something we used to do for a similar problem in the past. The word is that the problem affects a large number of vendors besides us; it seems to currently have a low profile.

Hooked up with Laura and Rachael at 6:00pm at Lake Harriet. Shortly after we started walking, Karen came by on her bicycle. She alighted from the bicycle, and joined us on the walk. It was a very pleasant walk. Despite the weather, it was very comfortable under the shade by the lake. Karen pointed out the Elf's house to us newbies. Really nice company. I left Laura and Rachael around 7:30, they were staying to listen to the music.

I got home between 8:30 and 9:00. No one was there but the cats (they were glad to see the man who fills the food dishes). Polonia arrived home around 10:00, apparently she put in a twelve hour day at work.

No plans for today beyond a birthday party at an unknown location and an unknown time.

I'm thinking that tomorrow I'd like to go to the Lagoon for a matinee showing of one of the movies currently playing - probably The Piano Teacher (although the reviews make it sound too intense).
