Jun. 15th, 2002 11:54 pmI got to bed around 0200 on Saturday morning. Slept fitfully; I kept waking up, and then forced myself to go back to sleep. Finally gave up on sleeping around 0930.
Talked some with Polonia about what happened last night. Some of what she said was news to me, and I believe she's being truthful. And some of what she says strikes me as after the fact rationalization. I don't think there's much agreement between our views of what happened.
I did a little grocery shopping before going to the MnStf meeting. When I previously mentioned that one of the hosts of the MnStf meeting would have just celebrated a birthday, I suggested that "...perhaps there will be cake." So it seemed desirable that I make sure that there was birthday cake at the meeting.
I got to the meeting shortly after 1600. Sybil (the birthday girl) was there, along with Kevin. The three of us played the home version of Mystery Science Theater 3000 while we watched an episode of Relic Hunter. Eventually, more people showed up - enough so that the cats went into stealth mode. For the most part, I felt as if there was a screen between me and everyone else during the meeting - I could see my friends, and converse with my friends, but there was always a barrier between me and them. At one point, Larry asked how Rock the Garden had gone. I gave him a highly edited overview of the evening. I left around 2200.
