Well, I Now Have a New Car Payment

To go along with the new car - a 2005 Toyota Matrix. We picked up the car the evening of June 30 (undoubtedly making somebody at the dealership, trying to make their June numbers, happy).

I like the car, although I'm having some difficulty telling people the correct model year. I told both the people at the credit union and the insurance people that it was a 1985 Toyota Matrix. This engendered much confusion each time, until I eventually realized that it was the old Toyota that was a 1985 model, and the new one is a 2005 model.

drewan had his new car over on Sunday evening, so we got to do a litle bit of compare and contrast. They both look and feel surprisingly similar, the big difference appearing to be Gadget Lad's insistence on having a fun/fancy GPS installed in his new car.

Congratulations on replacing the old car! It's a drag when they reach the point that it's not cost-effective to make repairs.
