A Bookstore Observation
Mar. 20th, 2015 12:39 pmI had originally planned to buy a copy of Data and Goliath on Wednesday night during the author event. That plan came to grief when my ride home forgot that hey were supposed to provide me with a ride home.
No biggie. I always stop by the Credit Union on Friday, and the credit Union is at Har Mar, which has a Barnes & Noble, so I'll just make a slight detour and get it there.
First observation - the Har Mar Barnes & Noble certainly made it difficult to find their remaining copy of Data and Goliath - it was tucked away in a corner of the store that was not my first choice of where to find the book. It wasn't my second choice, either. But I did find it, eventually.
Second observation - I don't know about other Barnes & Noble stores, but the Har Mar store seems well on their way to turning into a weird hybrid of a bookstore and Toys 'R Us.
