davidschrothWell, new to Minneapolis - apparently it's old hat in Bogota, San Francisco, and Fargo-Moorhead.
On Sunday, June 12, Minneapolis is scheduled to have its first Open Street event. This will involve closing Lyndale Ave to motorized traffic from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Lyndale will be reserved for walkers, bikers, and skaters. There are programmed recreational activities planned along the streets, including yoga, dance lessons, aerobics, and games. Musical performances and classes on bicycle safety and repair are also planned.
