That was Fun To Be At....
Apr. 25th, 2008 02:57 pm...The Unisys Retirees Club had a Good Old Days Get Together in Roseville today. I went, skipping the $5 Sloppy Joe lunch, and saw a lot of faces I haven't seen in a while.
Rick Price, Wayne Wakefield, Keith Sorvari, Mary Wisdorf, Jim Sherek, Jim Bunda, Russ Sherer, Gene Holden, Theresa Dixon, Joan Heinz, Jim Frantz, Wayne Ward, David C. Johnson, Jay Meyers, Brent Becken, Betsy Ahl, Doreen Bristol, and others whose name I'll remember *after* I post.
There were probably more people at the event than there were in Building 3 today.
It leaves me wanting to try to persuade management to ditch the Employee Appreciation Day in favor of a Good Old Days kind of event in the parking lot open to former and current employees. Let people pay for their own food and beverage - I know I'd enjoy it a lot more than the silly tent party in the parking lot.
Talking with Judy Kruse after (she wasn't able to make it), she pointed that Unisys had made an amazing donation of talent to a lot of other companies over the years.
