Falling Further Behind

davidschrothI've been putting entirely too much effort at work into doing work, and too little into updating LJ. Time to start making amends.

laurafish had a job Friday evening/Saturday/Sunday morning which took her away from the house. So I was on my own for most of the weekend.
Friday, I coped by working late. I finally left work around 2100, after getting most of the bureaucratic work finished. Which left things pretty well set up for this week.
I didn't actually go to bed until around 0200 on Saturday. Got up somewhat later than I'd planned (but then I hadn't planned on getting to bed so late), and went and got the oil changed on the Toyota.
I went to the MnStf meeting at Scott and Irene's around 1630. Lot's of people there, had a pretty nice time. One of the few meetings where the president showed up after the business meeting was over. Some time in the middle of the meeting was devoted to an expedition to the Minicon storage locker with Geri, Bill Christ,lsanderson, and myself. As expected, the locker is full - much more full than it was the last time I loaded it. I took some measurements, we tossed some M31 detritus that should have been tossed long ago, and then we returned to the meeting. I left the meeting between 2030 and 2100 and went to the Lagoon to see Sex and Lucia. I found the film pretty interesting. It's unrated, because a considerable of footage would be considered pornographic by the ratings board. It doesn't really work as pornography. It does work (for me, at least) as a serious film with explicitly sexual images/imagery.
Didn't do much on Sunday untillaurafish returned. We spent most of Sunday afternoon/evening trying to impose some order on the mass of stuff now filling the house, while waiting for her father to deliver yet more stuff to the house. Her father finally showed up with the curio cabinets and other stuff just after midnight. He and I moved the curio cabinets from the trailer into the house.
After all that, I ended up taking Monday off. We slept in until sometime after noon, and then puttered about trying to bring order to the house.
And Tuesday, I went in to work, and discovered that I'd missed a meeting. One where my attendance was considered crucial. The meeting's been rescheduled for Thursday, and my boss has asked me to make a special effort to be at work at 0800 on Monday for a presentation she's making to the vice-president in charge of our little section of the company.
Otherwise, I've just been working away at stuff.
