My new snail mail address is:
David W. Schroth
P.O. Box 130361
Roseville, MN 55113-0004

I'm going through a lot of changes in my life at the moment. This is difficult for me - I'm pretty much a creature of habit in a lot of areas, and I'm having to abandon most of my long-standing habits.

the peanut gallery wishes that you'd keep up the eating regularly and breathing oxygen habits. (well, this bit of it, anyhow.)

as for the rest of it, i hope that getting to a place where you get to develop new longstanding habits goes as smoothly as it can.

Thanks for the reminder (inhale - hold - exhale).

I am eating regularly, but a lot of my other healthy habits have fallen by the wayside recently. I haven't been exercising, other than yoga once a week. I'll have to reconsider yoga when I return - they're raising their prices, and trundling down to Apple Valley for yoga might not make much sense any more. Although I really like my instructor, and feel like I've learned quite a lot in the years since I started.
My exercise habit may be difficult to get back - I'm not sure that trundling down to Eagan to the health club makes much sense.

This, too, will all pass - but I won't be able to start developing new habits until mid-September at the earliest.

Thanks for the comment - it's always nice to hear from you.

i know that kalikanzeros does yoga here in the cities somewhere. i don't know exactly where, though.

also, in a surprising development, we have health clubs here in the city, too. ;) there's a ywca in uptown and one by hiawatha on lake, and there's a... um, bally's? near uni and lexington in st. paul. i bet there are others, but those are the ones off the top of my head.

The cashew gallery seconds the motion made by the peanut gallery.

Good luck with the habit management program. It's kinda like herding cats.

One advantage to living closer to (or actually in) Minneapolis: more people around that you know (possibly). Folks who are willing to get together to eat and/or exercise. Go for walks around the lakes or just around town. Make you dinner. Hang out. Closer to most Minn-StF events. You can develop new habits that may be better than the old or at least comparable.

Be gentle with yourself during this time of change. It's perfectly normal to struggle, it's perfectly okay to let your friends take care of you a bit when you can't. And it's fine to stumble around a bit, that'll happen. Cut yourself more slack than usual. And focus on remembering the important things (food, drink, breathing, sleep).

Humm, the brazil nut gallery thinks the peanut and cashew gallery have good ideas.

I think you might want to add a new phone number to your new address list - I know I'm priviledged because I work down the hall from you, but do you want to add your cell phone?

Are there really health clubs in the Twin Cities? :-)

It's more a matter of the existing membership I have. They have multiple clubs, I'm just not sure which, if any, of them would be accessible to me.

I'm pretty down on Bally's, having previously had a membership with them.

Just something to deal with in September...

Time to make a change....ch-ch-ch-changes.....
