It's A Special Kind of Funny
Nov. 13th, 2007 08:41 pmI'm remembering, again, why I don't take vacations. I really need some time off to recover from my time off. Shedding the cold I seem to have acquired would probably help, too.
High points of the trip: the hospitality of
jdonat and
mdonat, spending time with
buttonfish, the music party on Friday night, spending more time with
buttonfish, the music party on Saturday night (featuring a splendid performance of Five Days in May, and who knew that an accordion player could be such a good guitar player), the overall pleasure of seeing
sleigh and
parsleigh, the experience of having a car in Chicago while the car keys are in Singapore, and some truly bizarre hands of Wizards(tm) (I never expected to see a hand wherein the player who had the lead attempted to sluff a Wizard after everyone else had followed, let alone see that happen twice. And there wasn't even any wine involved...).
